Construction

The frame is of curved laminated timber beams each of 4 laminates bonded and finished in epoxy resin.

The timber beams are assembled with fabricated steel connectors with galvanised finish.

The overslung cover is of acrylic coated polyester (fire certificate).

Access Via 5 triangular doorways each 3.1 metres across the base and 2.4 metres high.
Each door fitted with central zip and burst through Velcro.

Imposed loading

For lighting, sound and rigging - 75 kilos per frame connector Anchorage The structure must be anchored except for situations which are sheltered, short term, attended by a tent crew member and with local authority approval.

Anchorage

Anchorage in soft ground is via ten 600mm by 25mm diameter stakes.
Anchorage on hard standing via rawl bolts or ballast.

Set up time

Approximately 2 hours with a crew of 3.

Certification

Fire certificate to BS 5438.
Structural calculations by Hadyn Evans Wind loading to BS 6399 Part 2: 1997 Code of Practice for wind loads.
