7m Geodesic Dome

Construction

The frame is of 12mm diameter fibre rod with nylon connectors.

The cover is of acrylic coated polyester (fire certificate).

Access

Via 5 triangular doorways each 2.2 metres across the base and 2 metres high. Each door fitted with central zip.

Imposed loading

The structure is designed to take only very light internal loading - 100 watt Parcans or similar on each connector ( 5 kilos ).

Anchorage

The structure must be anchored via ten 400 mm stakes, attachment to floor, sandbags, or rawl bolting to concrete or paving.

Set up time

Approximately 1 hour for two people.

Certification

Fire certificate to BS 5438 .
Structural calculations not required for structures of less than 4 metres height Structure has, however, been tested by practical use.
