Description of Company

The Dome Company is a small buisiness, a close knit skills based group with long standing working relationships. In this context, mutual respect, resourcefullness, self reliance and care are qualities which are fostered and valued.

The design, manufacture, assembly, operation and hire of mobile structures.

Health and Safety

This document relates specifically to on site assembly and dismantling.Good, safe working practice is seen as an integral part of proffessional procedure. In general this means that tools and equipment are not made available to individuals until they are competent to use them.

-Training is given in the use of access equipment and only experienced riggers work at height

-Appropriate protective equipment is provided and must be worn when carrying out tasks involving an element of risk; i.e hard hats, goggles, ear defenders, dust masks, solvent masks, kneepads, work gloves etc.

-Casual workers or new recruits should never constitute more than 30% of a work team and they should be supervised at all times.

-Heavy mobile plant is generally avoided but where its use is essential then specialist, certified operators are contracted.

-A first aid kit is provided on site.

-The public are excluded during the build or dismantling of structures.
